For what it's worth Oslo I think Jeremy Clarkson is a pompous condescending prat and his team mates aren't much better.
I haven't watched a full programme in years but it smacks of little kids playing with toys to me.

Partly. The main problem is he's a complete knob, which is embarrassing for the town. What also rankles with me is the way way he only ever talked about Rovers to take the piss. Once he couldn't do that any more he wasn't interested. But then that's what he's built his career on, sneering at everything.

Whats that saying all press is good press

Find it strange that more Than enough People from doncaster dont
Like clarkson for whatever reasons, then you sit and listen to a local in
A pub in Oslo and clarkson  and top gear had cult  a type Of status .

Figure that one out

I don't think this forum provides an accurate representation of Doncaster folk's general views. It's a negative forum, and posters generally feel the urge to post negative comments because they find more passion in disliking subjects than they do in liking them.

This is distorted more by the little clique that has formed on here since the forum was revamped a few years ago, resulting in the clique followers ganging up on posters like  hyena's attacking a Zebra out in the wild, if they as much as dare express their 'spastic' like views.

Some years ago I happened to be watching Top Gear about the time Rover was going down the pan.
They were discussing after-service and spare parts etc. and how different makers compared.
One of his cronies (James May I think) asked. "What if you've got a Rover?"
"You're f-----." Clarkson replied with a smirk on his face.
No sadness at the demise of the last high volume British car maker and absolutely no empathy with anyone that owned a Rover.
That did it for me. :(
Didn't matter where he came from.

Do you remember that toe-curlingly embarrassing feature he did on Rovers when we were in the Conference? He was in the Park Hotel before the game giving it large. Everyone thought he was a complete bell-end.

Oslo

You've called it wrong in my case. I don't like him because he's an obnoxious Kitson. He might be redeemed if he was actually funny, but he's about as amusing as a dose of clap. And as guvking irritating as well.

Still, he's found his business niche. Peddling the "I say what I f**king want" line to people who like to titter behind their hands.

Given he's supposed to be on his last warning hopefully he'll say what he f*cking wants one more time and he'll be off the air.

We live in hope!

Clarkson is hilarious and Top Gear is a fantastic show. There is a reason it is so popular throughout the world and that is mainly due to the fact that Jeremy is a comedic genius.

Those of you that don't like him need to have a sense of humour bypass operation reversal.

It is shown in over 100 countries in the world and has an audience of over 350 million. It is also the most downloaded show on Earth. What planet are you dislikers on?

Clarkson is hilarious, the reason some don't like him is due to politics. The lefties seen to hate genuinely funny right of centre comedians like Clarkson, Jim Davidson and alexei sayle.
Ask anyone who isn't a staunch leftie, and they'll love clarkson.

The reason I love him is because he winds up the political correct bbc left wing establishment

Wow. That was out there.

It was so off topic that I'm struggling to come down.
I'm trying to make of it what I can, but still not sure. Do you think Clarkson is a coño or not?

I'm sorry mate but Alexei Sayle is not right of centre, he's the biggest Marxist since Karl Marx. But I do agree with you in that he is hilarious.
When it comes to Top Gear, Jeremy Clarkson is a bellend, Richard Hammond is the most annoying person on TV but James May is the Lad of Lads!!!

All you lefties hate Clarkson because he is so good at taking the piss out of you. Lets face it though. You are an easy target.

Along with Kevin Keegan, he is one of Doncaster's finest sons and should be celebrated for putting us on the map.

But surely top gear should be about the cars that are being reviewed and not just the Jeremy Clarkson hour. I mean don't get me wrong, some times it is a funny show, three mates having a laugh in some cars but most of the time it just staged, stale crap. The Africa, Vietnam, America, Iraq specials would have been much funnier if half of it wasn't staged just to get a couple of laughs.
And it's a sad state of affairs if one of a towns 'finest sons' only refers to his home town if he can take the piss out of it, the only way he has put us on the map is as the butt of a joke.

Saw an episode from a non doncaster pit village up yorkshire way ,and he took the piss out Of that too saying with one house in London you could. By the whole street Of former pit houses

I dont see the issue with him taking piss out Of whatever doncaster as it that not what the good sense Of british humor that is known worldwide for Been Able to laugh at r sens
