Where they came to the conclusion top 8 is possible with this new setup. Everybody could make that statement, the reality being mid table to bottom end is much more likely. I hope I can eat my words at the end of the season.

I understand that the budget is in the top budgets in the league, and PD has said that's what he needs to deliver on that...

That's what I have read on this 'ere forum from those who know more than I. However, as the budget was agreed before the takeover mess, delivering on those expectations are going to prove difficult thanks to the lack of pre-season and us losing out on the original targets PD had in mind back in May/June.

I guess some/all of the money from Husband's sale (I haven't read that it's gone through yet) will further bolster that budget/help us yet further.
