OK, let's bring some analysis into this. I warned you all.

Opening game attendances (red = league one)
Blackpool: 9,002 (7,758 home)
Bury: 6,380 (5,888)
West Ham: 11,344 (8000)
Bristol C: 9,291
Preston: 10,070
Cardiff: 11,873
Millwall: 7,542
Crewe: 6,081 (Belle Vue)

Last 3 average attendances at league one level
13: 7,238
08: 7,978
07: 7,725

Vs. Port Vale
08: 8,040
07: 7,848
06: 5,511 (Belle Vue)
05: 5,209 (Belle Vue)

Anecdotal:
4,100 season tickets/hospitality sold + 700-900 away fans expected = 4,800 / 5,000.

Conclusion
At a bare minimum there will be 5,000 there (if no home fans walked up on the day) and as a maximum there is unlikely to be above 9,000 as we only achieve that in the championship. A much more realistic range would be between our last two first home games at league one level, i.e. Bury 6,380 and Millwall 7,542. I think Port Vale will bring more than Bury so I would add 300 to that which takes us to 6,680. I also think the Bury game suffered from the fall-out of the previous season. There are also a few other things that may add to the attendance tomorrow including offers, previous 2 victories and generally better fan engagement + weather (expected to be sunny right round 3)

My Guess
7,180
45 mins

..and that's it folks. This competition is over.

I think the results plus curiosity over Main, Forrester and Jonesy being back, will contribute to a good roll up tomorrow.

Well I can't believe it..... I never have any luck, never even won £10 on the lottery and play reasonably regular.... when my luck finally comes in I only win 10 points. Before anyone asks, I dont do the official counting  :scarf:
