Rovers team to face @pnefc: Steer, Wabara, Jones(c), McCullough, Evina, De-Val, Keegan, Furman, Coppinger, Bennett, Robinson.

Rovers bench: Marosi, Tyson, Wakefield, Peterson, Middleton, Askins, Whitehouse

A very young bench

The bench looks a bit youthful tonight. Jones off.

Fantastic - Jones off neck again and Wakefield on - it does not bode well for the season does it

Thing is, Rob Jones only goes off when it's serious... Gotta feel for him. Hope it's only precautionary - it says it's on doctor's advice.

The injury he got last season would finish many a career.

I'd be surprised if Jones isn't out for at least a week and prefer us to have McCombe in fit than to get a loanee after this. Stability in defence is essential for a successful season.

Noticing that Jones has yet to be substituted on the BBC website - BBC never knowingly right

It'll be a lot longer than a week, could be the end of him now

Could be right - not worth risking permanent injury for the sake of football and DRFC

One of the best halfs for us I've heard in a while. Great that the defence has held up, and midfield seems to have been forced into a formation that works  :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

If it's his shoulder, Jones could be okay. Easy to get an injury to some part near to the old injury as areas around it take time to get into shape.

And thus:

HT 0-0. Can't stress how much of an improvement that was from first half Saturday - just no goals to show for it. #drfc

If he's off on Doctors advice, it could just be precautionary, they will have to be very careful with him where neck injuries are concerned. Best not jump to conclusions too soon.
