Bless you, that's really sweet :)

I would think they have reduced the price because of the price war going on at the moment.

I used to get Sainsbury's, spend £100 free delivery, but when we finally got an Asda I tried it out of curiosity and found the quality better on things like tinned tomatoes. I love their tinned toms.. lovely and thick & perfect, Sainsbury's ones are red lumps swimming in gnats pee. lol

It's always been my experience people have busy lives, I would hate for anyone to feel obligated to running me around. I'm used to solving everything myself.

Take some advice Jucy. People like helping others! I'm sure you help plenty of other people.

Anyway back on topic. I'll agree to not berate you for your shopping decisions given your circumstances. You make a good point. By buying online you are far more likely to cut out the crap quotient.

I wish you could hear my daughter's opinion of the people that surround us. She says we are givers surrounded by takers. Sad to say, she is right.

Any hoo, as I say I'm quite contented with my deliveries, I save masses by not seeing temptation. :)

Why stop at going to a cheaper supermarket?

It doesn't take much effort to grow a decent portion of your own food, and it doesn't have to take up much space either. If you can be bothered to do the research, there's lots of great information out there about intensive, back-yard farming. I've seen an amazing amount of fruit and veg grown on a balcony or porch with a little ingenuity.

Knowing exactly what goes into your food is a great feeling. For the most part, commercial 'organic' farming is a scam; they usually only eliminate the unhealthy practices currently required to keep the organic logo on their packaging.

The same goes for meat production. I rarely eat meat unless I know the origins.

After almost dying of colitis following an ill-advised drive-through from McDonalds, my wife has come about to my way of thinking.

It's quite shocking what they can get away with putting in your food, especially the processes they use to make pet-food grade meat legal to serve to humans.

Get a grip man. You are so obviously a leftie with such an outlook on life. Political correctness gone mad.

Do you advocate lawlessness?

Of course he does.  He's only following the lead of his role models, the Tories.

Oddly enough, 'fingers' are probably the only bit of a fish you wouldn't find in a fish finger.  ;)
