Vuelta punch up
« on September 09, 2014, 07:45:42 am by Donnywolf »
Just seen the two riders in mid stage coming to "blows" Bizarre They have been thrown out

Looked as daft as F1 drivers battling with their helmets on (as they do)

I saw that too Wolfie.  The one on the left seems to put his arm around the other one as though being quite conciliatory and gets a back hander in the mouth for his trouble.

Shame it wasn't Contador that copped a slap.

I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.  You often see huge crashes especially in sprints (and normally caused by Cavendish!) where they just get up and are gentleman about it even though they both know who was at fault.  I'm surprised Rovny (the guy on the left) was ejected as it was pretty much Brambilla who instigated and then through the first punch.

If you think it looked daft then you should watch American football players have fights.  It's not about hitting them in the face, more about getting the head to jerk back violently which hurts even with all the padding!  Scroll along in the video to 30:45 - http://353online.com/video-hbo-hard-knocks-atlanta-falcons-season-9-ep-1/
