Brussels (Not the sprouts)
« on November 12, 2014, 03:45:16 pm by Welling Rover »
Off to Brussels for a couple of nights in three weeks time.
Anyone recommend a good bar and a restaurant that's not too far from the Grand Place.
Thanks

Anyway about the sprouts, should they be picked before a good frost or afterwards has got to them?

Allways slice a slight X into the the top or Bottom of each
One before you put them onto boil.

Take my Word they will taste a lot better

Bars a plenty all around the City

My tip don't bother checking out the Mannekin Pis - its tiny and not worth wasting valuable drinking time to see !

4 of us followed the signs to eventually find it and almost in unison we all said "is that IT"

Been in Brussel a few times

Recall i got up one morning while England were playing out that way
In the Euros.

No eggs in fridge so i went out looking for eggs.could not find one bar
Or cafe that sold eggs to take back.so i had a small glass Of Stella in each
Gaff i stopped in.

Fell back into appratments sone hours later very pissed as the Stella out
There is to die for.

Yes because it is (or WAS) real stuff" probably still is in Brussels though I would be attacking the Leffe on Draft for sure *

* I would then have a p*** on the Mannekin Pis (over rated)

Went for Brunch in the Belgian cafe in Dubai yesterday.
Leffe brun & blonde, Hoegardens and Kriek cherry beer all on draught plus Duvel. Chimay etc in bottles.
It was spot on but too warm to sit outside for too long.

You must check out the Mannekin Pis. Even if it's just to take a photo of the hundreds of Japanese people who are taking a photo of it.
