Google some software called 'lightbeam'. Instal it and then watch just how many sites you end up connecting too without you knowing a thing about it. Pretty frightening. Tonight I have clicked to visit five sites. Five. And yet this pc has visited 62. That's over 12 sites visited for every one I want to go to.

It tells you where you've been and it's a nice graphical display that's dead easy to understand.
