transfer window

not a good time to sit on our laurels,true 2 god win with 2 clean sheets but now is the time manager,board, cheif exec earn their corn. officially last game for johnstone next sat against bristol,furman going for some sun in africa,both stevens and butler deals end this next month,playing staff very thin,especially if a play off place is our target.they must act quick or we will be left with who others dont want,would like to see a good box to box midfielder,goalkeeper to call our own if we can afford johnstone fine,another decent striker,and sort the defence out ie sign butler and stevens for starters

Rest assured Stevens, Johnstone and Butler will have been discussing matters recently.  I'd bet good money of Butler joining permanently and the other two on loan to the season end.  We've seen the club are talking to Wabara and McCullough about extending contracts too.

We may not see many new arrivals but if we tie down the current squad, we should be OK.  I think we need to be careful with the injuries at present to Tyson and Bennett, but otherwise we're not far off IMHO.

Could do with another striker, if there is any money spare, don't think J McKay is up to anything other than a 10 minute cameo now and then. He needs another year at least before he is ready for much more.

We're still a bit light on defensive numbers, I'm satisfied with the current 4 but if any of them get injured we're worrying a bit with Wakefield probably the most reliable back-up. I think that leaves Evina and the injury-prone Jones and McCombe so if there's any budgetry room I'd maybe look at getting another defender in. Otherwise we aren't in too bad a shape at all if we can extend the stays of the three loanees.

It's an interesting one. We already have plenty of strikers and it looks like 1 up top is our best line-up. Go figure.

We brought in Main and Tyson in the summer, how can we justify bringing in another striker now? We knew that when we signed them that they don't score many but work hard. We won't bring in anyone.

We will bring someone in I would expect.  I'd like to see Mckay go out on loan to get some first team football too.

I also can't see Butler going anywhere else, he'd love to stay here.

If I was the manager I'd be looking to sell 2 on if anyone wants them, these would be;

De Val and Evina.  Evina just isn't good enough and De Val has had a number of chances and not done it, we would be better off giving Middleton a chance now to show what he's capable of.

How many players do we need?!?! Perhaps given we know Furman is away on international duty for a month we might get in a midfielder on loan, but beyond that is it really necessary?

If a striker does'nt score many,should he be classed a forward then?
