Hypnotism
« on March 22, 2015, 06:41:25 pm by mushRTID »
Had the misfortune of watching a right load of shit on tv called 'back in the room' with Phillip Schofield.

It's that stupid and daft, it's made me doubt hypnotism.

Anyone been hypnotised? Any other doubters? I did believe it until Iv watched this shite.

I think it is indisputable fact that hypnotism does work. However, that said, there are a lot of people that pretend to be hypnotised.

I know someone that was the star of the Andrew Newton show at the old Civic theatre a good few years back. I asked them afterwards if they had really been hypnotised. He said no he hadn't been but took the opportunity to have a bit of fun on stage.

I was also once hypnotised but didn't act the goat and refused to be taken to the stage. I was in full control of myself and refused to pretend. The hypnotist was very disappointed as I seemed to be the one that was the most under. I would describe the feeling as just being very relaxed.

A TV show is just asking people to pretend. I refuse to even watch such  garbage.

Well I was dubious about hypnotism before I watched the show but now I'm convinced that it does work. I was asleep in seconds.

I saw Andrew Newton at the old Civic a couple of times.  There has to be something in it, as he had people munching on raw onions thinking they were apples.

The funniest was when he said "imagine its half 3 on a friday afternoon, and you are just doing what you would normally be doing" and one bloke looked to be having a hand shandy.

Our lass got hypnotised on holiday in Magaluf a few years ago, some of the things she did while hypnotised she would never do in a million years, she still doesn't believe me about the things she did, it was so not her at all, I believe there's something in it

I too have seen him in Thorne a couple of times and the Shows were brilliant

As you say there were people stroking slippers thinking they were dogs - eating Onions and thinking they were Apples - stripping to the Stripper music .... Ballet dancing to Sugar Plum Fairy ... wearing X Ray specs and looking at the people in the Audience both men and women ....and more

...and these were all people I knew and who would not do what they were doing for an act. The ones I spoke to in the days and weeks after could not believe what they did even when told by many different audience members
