Id have thought Wigan would be favourites - do they still have PL parachute payment

Shrewsbury are shorter than us..
Scunny are pushing the boat out next year, I expect them to be right up there, and they're a big price

Everything has a price at any time. 8/1 Millwall is a terrible price though. Barnsley will be up there I think next year.

Scunny chairman on radio yesterday saying they're budget is going to be significantly bigger next year and they're hoping to bring in 8,9 players with 3 or 4 marquee signings

Roversdude, i asked the question about Wigan still getting PL parachute money the other day but no one bothered to comment on it.
It is my understanding that when relegated from the PL a club gets three years parachute money (is it £16m per season?).
If that is true then next season will be their third one on Parachute money.
What kind of massive advantage will that be to them?

That was my understanding too - gives a massive advantage but could also be the undoing of teams such as Wigan if they don't bounce back - even if they do they would then be championship on an equal footing

Wolves had the same last season, gives them a big advantage.
There will be other teams with bigger budgets than us next season. If we intend to move players on and bring in better and some more experienced then our budget will have to be bigger if we intend to compete.

is it us 16-1? if so think we're worth a tenner, don't care what scunny are spending, or what dingles are doing as results av shown were well above there standards, if we shaw some balls in the next few weeks I'll make it a ton

It definitely is not worth a tenner if we still have Dickov next season. Can you really see him guiding us to the league title? Not a chance

Not sure how were well above Barnsley standards,
A quick look at the table shows that ain't true.

It all depends on who we get whether 16/1 is a value bet, at the minute we are very similar to Barnsley a team that looks good on paper but hasn't quite done it.

I think Barnsley will be top 6 next season, possibly reach 2nd? Wigan will be up there, as will those who don't win the playoffs this year. I'd also expect Millwall and Peterborough to do well - gonna be a long old season (again).

Blackpool will be lucky to stay in division.

16/1 seems a fair price to me. Tempted to have a tenner on at that already.
