I predict a riot!

But being serious for a moment, I can't see him wanting to move outside the UK. He seems to be settled over here. I can see someone like Burnley or Preston being interested in him.

Amazing to read that !
To some he isn't good enough for us but maybe he is good enough for Burnley or PNE.

Good enough for me. I've always rated him, although I think he spent 18 months being played out of position. As the vicar says, he wanted to leave because he thinks he can do better.

Good player once we played him in right position - now if he could finish he would be top league type player

Too inconsistent for me.  A great player on his day, but sadly anonymous too often.

Vicar, plenty on here have said he wasn't good enough for us and that they were not sorry to see him go.

Personally i liked Furman, he always gave 100% and put in as many good performances for us as anyone else in the squad.

i agree with you, in general he was good, but he had a few games where he looked lazzzzy and fans always pick up on the odd occasion not the many good things a player does

We played Furman advanced when to be honest, he has plenty of energy but isn't a goal threat, we need somebody who scares the opposition with ability, power and pace and can finish now and then.

He's alright but I'll be losing no sleep over him. Bags of energy but his passing reminds me of the stuff coming out of the back of a farmer's muck-spreader. Both in terms of the random direction, and the content.

And of course, you never know when the red mist will come down and he will become an utter liability

Yes I agree,I liked Furman but the fact he is captain of SA is more a poor reflection on the quality they have rather than Furmans abilitys...He puts the effort in but like Billy says couldn't pass a parcel!!!..Is he even Championship class?? Maybe lower end but I'm beginning to think that he thinks he is a lot better than he actually is....

I happen to think he is good enough for us, as he's an average L1 player. Not good enough for PNE though and certainly not good enough for Burnley!!

Slightly O/T but Furman has been selected by South Africa for two international games, one an AFCON qualifier, the other a friendly. As he is contracted to us until 30 June and hasn't signed for anyone else, these should be added to his tally of caps won with Rovers - currently 17.

The issue doesn't arise because he's out of the squad due to an injury.

I have to say I will miss trawling South African footy websites to follow Furman's international career.
