I hope we sign Steve Davies. Him and Williams would be brilliant.

We can sign him but we haven't been a very good 4-4-2 side since the days of Dave Penney
I think our best formation will be 4-2-3-1 with Williams being the 1

But we will still need more options in midfield and out wide
If we do go one up top then we could still use either Main or Tyson in that role

I realise that it is good that we seem to be keeping our cards close to our chest, but this article doesn't suggest we have any new signings in the pipeline.

I disagree TRB.
PD is suggesting that he is comfortable with the recruitment situation so he must have potential signings under discussion.
As you say, keeping his targets under wraps is a good idea.
