What bands can't you stand?

Not so much hate, but as an aging punk the one punk band I just didn't like were The Clash.

At last something we agree on. The Clash weren't a proper punk band.

UB40, detest them. I've been to see them more times than I can remember, unfortunately as much as I detest them, the long haired fun police loves them. Things we do for love.

Unfair, I think. They did some very good stuff in their early years. Trouble is, they haven't done anything decent for 40 years and instead of splitting up and moving on to other things they keep churning out the same stuff. Lucrative, though.

Much the same can be said of UB40. Signing Off was fresh and innovative, but then they morphed into a reggae covers/ tribute band.

If he counts as 'a band' I've never understood the popularity of Elton John but he's one of the biggest selling artists of all time. Absolute shite if you ask me.

The same with the BeeGees massively popular but shocking.

At least with an act like ABBA I can see the skill of the song writer, they have produced without doubt some of the most infectious pop songs ever. For me though it's all so cheesy, kitsch and lame I can't stand it.
