Open Day
« on July 24, 2015, 06:33:52 pm by POD »
Anyone else go to the Open Day today?  I haven't been to one of these for several years but I thought it was a couple of hours well spent.  The players put on a good show and it was interesting to see some of the things they do in training, particularly the attack v defence situations and the set pieces.  PD heavily involved in the training and giving advice to specific players.  HF doing what he wants and not very interested in defending - I'd still have him in my team though!!

There were lots of sideshows, attractions for the kids and all of it was free.

The autograph signing was well managed, with all the players seated in the main stand and happy to chat to fans and have photos etc.

I would estimate about 500

600+ apparently. Still think it's daft to have had it on a Friday at 11am-1pm though.

It is the school holidays, I imagine it is primarily aimed at kids.

NO problem with it being in the week given the holidays.  A lot of people at work I bet though.

It is very much aimed at kids, but as an adult, I very much enjoyed being there today and I'm sure many other adults would have as well.

Just think how many more kids could've gone though if their parents had been able to take them...
