As a dad supporting Leeds, take a young one (a lad about 10 years) into that away end last night? I ask because as I was having a pint in the Belle Vue Bar, I saw just such a lad, in his full Leeds away kit, standing with who I assumed was his dad amongst a group of other Leeds supporters all in their 30's & in good spirits.

I sit in the West Stand near the away end & of course Leeds supporters are always very vocal away but also 'purposely' intimidating with it.

They mostly all stand throughout the game, but their 'chants' are the reason I wouldn't take my wife to a game against them. As the idiot/s among the Rover's Black Bank end let off the first of the smoke bombs & followed it with the inevitable "We are the Rovers, we'll do what we want" (to the tune of Sloop John B), Leeds's 'countered it with "We are United, we don't give a fcuk". They later followed this up with (to the tune of She'll be coming 'round the mountain) "If you follow Donny Rovers you're a cnut", loudly, in unison & prolonged, with a great 'emphasis' placed on the final word. Call me a prude, call me old fashioned, call me oversensitive but I WOULDN'T, COULDN'T 'subject' a child of mine to being in the middle of that.

Shame on you if you or your 'mates' should read this.
