There's definitely something in the pipeline

We needed at least 3 for me. One loan isn't good enough.

Still no right back and short up front. Squad made up of loans it looks like.

The other day, many people on here were praising Barnsley and all their loans.

Just from what they're saying on Twitter.

I wouldn't hold them to their comments.

Can't out of contract players (plenty of them) be signed at any time.

May seem underwhelming, but as it stands we've hung onto our key central midfielder and loaned another to provide temporary cover and competition. We could still do with addressing the right back slot, though.

We cannot afford any thing other than loans if loanees are good enough and we can have them up the next transfer window then that's how it will have to be.

Rovers said more to come
Liam Holden said he couldn't rule anything out and then said to bear in mind they have until 8.

Jonathan I not sure that's the case, I don't think we will see Richie in a Rovers shirt again IMHO.

What's Andy Griffin up to?

Are you sure the more to come bit didn't mean more to come about the gobern signing.

I'm willing to give the players we've signed a chance. Stewart - Gobern - Chaplow - N'Guessan. We've basically got an entire midfield that we've hardly seen play.

Get them all up to speed and fit and see where we are. A RB would have been nice, as would a striker. I have faith that Lund will come good though so not entirely desperate and Main can improve.

I'm getting worried we are going to get lumbered with Wellens...he's burnt his bridges for me now...Don't want him to wear the badge again...I'd make him sit on the bench from now on...

We don't need to play Wellens at all. When Keegan and N-Guessan come back we've got a midfield that's plenty big enough. I still assume he's going though.

Wellens will probably go out on loan if he hasn't gone today. Can't see him staying.

While he is here he is still our best central midfield player. The public statements imply that there's no rift, so whilever he's our player he has to be in contention to play.

How do you know that Jonathan - how much have you seen of Gobern/Chaplow to say they arn't better than Wellens?

Chaplow is not a natural central midfielder by trade. Gobern isn't ours, he belongs to QPR.

Actually I take that back...Play him tonight...give Saturdays first choice midfielder chance to prepare...then send him on loan...

Really? Dickov seems to think so.

Gobern isn't ours, he belongs to QPR.

He's ours until January because there is no recall. It is also a loan with view to a permanent move. Wellens is only 'ours' until the end of the season anyway.

Give the new lads a chance to gel I say.

Hold his wages back, after tonight it'll be two games he's made himself unavalable for while he trys to get a move!

Liam Hoden ‏@liamhoden  now
Understand Richie Wellens' move to another club did not materialise.  Big questions to be answered over his future at #drfc #starlive

Big Al

I did worry that a manager might have a look on here before deciding whether or not to make a signing. You would, wouldn't you?

Acko. You might not always agree with Filo but I think withholding his wages would be a bit harsh.
