Surely all the board need to do is look on the Internet, type in his name and realise he is an absolutely awful appointment! A win % of 28.45% at Birmingham and 9.09% at Blackpool, the lowest win ratio for a quarter of a century for a Birmingham manager! Won only one at home for more than a year at Birmingham! Come on we can do better than this!!

Who knows whether Clark will be appointed.

If he is though, you do wonder what happens in the interview process?

Just like Dickov, if you look at the fundamentals such as win ratio, promotion/play offs etc there is no way they would get the job.

What happens in that room that convinces the board that he person in front of them can defy the odds and buck their managerial career to date at their club?

From day one nobody really thought Dickov would succeed. We all knew that. His time at Oldham demonstrated a distinctly average record. Yet he was still appointed.

Definite "no" from me. Don't let the unbeaten run at Huddersfield fool you - he massively underachived there vs budget and hasn't done anything since.

Given the wording of statements from the club I'll accept we can only appoint someone from the pool of applicants but if he's genuinely the best applicant then something has gone wrong in how people in the game perceive our club.

I've posted this on another thread but to save you having to plough through that one here is my theory :

Evans is leaked as our new manager - f*ck me say the fans anyone but Evans! Then it's Clark! F*ck me say the fans, give me Evans! Then we get someone else and we all say f*ck me at least it's not Clark or Evans and support the new manager, whoever it is!! It's a fantastic way of getting the fans to unite behind our new manager.

If I'm wrong then I'm worried for my beloved club!!
