That's a bit of an exaggeration - we perhaps should have drawn vs Barnsley on performance, but then again we deserved to beat Swindon.  Results don't always follow performances.

I am 100% behind the club, but when you buy a ticket and you watch rubbish you have a right to say what you think, anyone can see that our elderly midfield are at the moment embarrassing to watch, i watched some individuals on Saturday and if they put as much effort into the game as looking at their families, smiling and waving. There is no denying it. We are a former Championship team with ambitions from the board, personnel and fans to compete for a top 6 spot, yet are sat in the relegation zone and have been exhibiting relegation form for months. We are playing generally quite badly, with many players underperforming on their best level. I don't see any way to deny this. Us defeating Barnsley does not prove otherwise, and there is nothing else I can see to suggest we aren't in a bit of a pickle.

I'm glad we are now slightly more of an attacking threat but it has actually come at the expense of any kind of cohesive midfield under Jones.

The arrival of a new manager should hopefully be a catalyst for some positive change both in the way we approach things on the pitch and on the training ground. I hope that's the case, whether Redfearn is appointed, Clark, Evans, Fergie or whoever.

Yep. We're crap - everyone knows that by now.  Therefore, someone is eventually going to need TIME to turn it round but our fans were certainly not willing to give Jones that. This 5 game period  was never meant to be a complete overhaul and turnaround, more of a test period to see if Jones could have any discernible affect on the team.

If you take away the bluster he certainly has changed things. The style of play is different to what Dickov played, we've played well in short patches (The Swindon performance was pretty decent) and he's brought in Anderson which is a good acquisition. For some reason though some still persist with the idea that some miracle man is going to come in and turn it round completely! And what will happen? We'll get Clarke. Be careful what you wish for.

Doesn't matter who the manager is at the mo. The players we've got aren't good enough. Dickov didn't have a clue and the mess he's left will take some sorting out. Loads of decent players available in the summer and he signs the likes of ATS and McKenzie.
Just hope whoever takes over can rebuild the team without us getting relegated.

this whole situation is a shambles, the board have took way too long to appoint a new manager if they wanted jones they should have done it weeks ago. We need stability and this board are doing their best to cause unrest in the camp.. the players claim they want jones and are fighting for him, all I will say is id hate to see how they performed if they didn't want him to get the job.
We have too many shit players who will be found out under a new manager and like it or not coppinger is right at top of that list.

I think only Jones can turn this around and build a proper platform again this season . Leon Clark is certainly a weak person in man management terms .. even pathetic at Blackpool and Brum. Redfearn or another can rebuild too but babies will then be thrown out with bath water I think .

It is quite clear we have plenty room for improvement, but the fact that we have performed well at times, and have the likes of Forrester and McCullough returning, then Tyson to come, so we have the players - they just need managing well.

As for our current league position, of course that needs to improve.  However as perverse as it sounds we could actually go up a couple of places on Saturday without playing, and then have a game in hand.  Win a couple of games on the bounce and the table will look a lot better.  Of course we could lose 2 and stay in the bottom 4.

Let's see how things change with the new permanent manager, shall we?
