The Beiderbecke tapes and Beiderbecke affair if for nothing else the music was good.

Golden Shot

I've thought that surely, with internet/interactive technology they could revive this so that contestants can aim the crossbow live from their own home..?

I am quite sure that many folks will have shot their bolt using the internet and interactive technology!

Rawhide...a program for real men, almost as good as Bonanza;
Frankie Laine - Rawhide (Original 1958 Single Version) - YouTube

"Dont try to understand em, just rope and roll and brand em". Philosophy as well!

You can't beat the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly for memorable music though;
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Theme • Ennio Morricone - YouTube

Great highlights clip...it's all in the eyes.

I love the idea of a fella who takes his revolver into the tub with him, hidden beneath the suds.
Just in case, like!

Albie!!! Tha's it!!! Bloody hell. Never thought I'd hear that tune again. Niow I'm gonna have to sit down to watch the thing - and I've got shed loads to do.

Glyn! Where on earth did you get dvds and an album from?! I thought I must be the only person left alive who remembered that series!

And didn't White Horses' have a good tune too? Now I'm going to have to go google that as well....

BB: stop it man!! My sides are bloody hurting!

BobG
We must both be of an age Bob, I'm sure that the Robinson Crusoe version you are on about was a French programme with an English soundtrack dubbed in.

Remember Fanny Craddock's cookery programme? Along with her seemingly inebriated husband Johnny they were quite unintentionally humourous for a couple of middle class snobs.

" I hope your doe-nuts turn out like fanny's".  Johnny Craddock.

Have a flick through the Network DVD website catalogue - http://networkonair.com/shop/2-all-products?&orderby=available_date&orderway=desc.  There is some magical stuff on there that they have released over the years

I sat pondering, then it came to me quite quickly. As a child the only programmes I would never miss seeing, were Wagon Train and Rawhide. Guess that's why I now work for a "Cowboy Outfit".

... but do you like Chaps ?

Anybody remember Zokko ? I seem to recall it was a Pinball Machine that introduced the Programme all the way through.

The Ball (I think) used  to go round the Pinball Machine and when the ball dropped in a hole Zokko would say "Zokko Score 10 - Serial"  The Serial was always SKEYN I seem to remember !

I have drunk almost a Bottle of Red I should add

... and speaking of Red what about "Red Rackhams Treasure" no idea what that was but I am going to Google it to find out

EDIT : Bloody Tin Tin from 1944 ... even I am not that old !

I remember Zokko and the pinball machine, but I always associate Marine Boy with it!

Red Rackham's Treasure is a Tintin book...

Got them all on DVD!

Half Man Half Biscuit's third album is called McIntyre, Treadmore and Davitt. I heard the title about a month before the album came out and I recognised the names but couldn't place them...it was when I saw the album cover that I realised that it was because there was a Ripping Yarns connection..!
