Firefly

We have unfortunately had to make use of one of the VSC charity's for this year, Firefly they are brilliant and incredibly helpful and really take the stress at difficult times,  5 days a week for five weeks to Weston Park Hospital plus odd unplanned ones fitted in would be stressful to anyone.

I cannot thank them enough for what they have done even so far! and Thank You to the VSC for supporting them

Hey, it was the fan's vote that selected them, so everyone deserves a pat on the back.

A great charity and happy to be able to support them.  Hope things are OK at your end, Daggers.

Sorry to hear you've been in need of their services, Daggers. As above, hope all turns out well.

Is there any chance / merit in  a "sticky" thread allowing us as VSC Forum users to be able to sell goods  that we no longer need to fellow Forum users on condition that the money generated goes to Firefly (or whatever the current chosen Charity is)

I often send goods to the local Charity Shop and in a way this could be even better than that. A lot of the stuff would maybe be football / Rovers related and as such get a better response (and so price) from like minded people.

By that I mean if I handed over say a rare East Riding Sacks away Shirt to the local Charity Shop I would maybe see them slap a quid label on it ... because they would have no idea of its worth. However the same Shirt if offered on here may bring £30 to £50 so Firefly COULD gain quite a bit of useful money from peoples generosity - and we would be doing the work to facilitate that.

Just a thought

I gave away a couple of "East Riding Sucks" shirts in a Shirt Amnesty. So some poor chap is probably walking around Rwanda giving free advertising to the Firestarter's company!
