Re. Douvan, who won at 1-4, a punter had £220k to win at 1-3!

And to think I get nervous if I have a fiver each way on something in the National...

Same here TRB but it was probably the safest bet this century.

The only certainty is that horses will die so people can try & win a few quid & bookies can get rich. Three more died today, making 49 at the Cheltenham festival alone, since the year 2000. Shameful !

It seems a lot harder to pick the winners for today. I'm not betting on them, because when you would have had a good day before, the next day probably isn't going to go as well, especially at Cheltenham. I would have done really well yesterday, it's upto you whether you have a go on these or not, i hope a few of them are winners for anybody having a bet.

1.30 Yanworth(NAP)
2.10 More of that
2.50 Arbre De Vie
3.30 Un De Sceaux
4.10 Josie's orders
4.50 Fixe le kap
5.30 Castella Sforza

Outsiders
1.30 Bella Conti/A Toi Phil
2.10 Vyta du roc
2.50 Rock the kasbah
3.30 Dodging bullets/Sprinter sacre
4.10 Baltazar king
4.50 Coo star sivola
5.30 Ballyandy/Coeur Blimey

Good luck, and remember if they lose, nothing to do with me!.

15000 horses in training , it isn't nice to see when they are injured , but they would not be around at all were it not for racing , and it's not all about making money

Two winners from my outsiders and some places, these are what i would pick if i was betting.

1.30 Garde La Victoire
2.10 All Hell Let Loose
2.50 Vautour
3.30 Thistlecrack * Forgot to add this was my nap, not important now like!
4.10 John's Spirit(Got to have a chance and ex chairman link John Ryan with the name)
4.50 Limini
5.30 Upswing

Outsiders
1.30 Bristol de mai/As de mee
2.10Cup final/Rolling maul(loves cheltenham)
3.30 Cole Harden(last 2 tune up races)/Saphir de rheu
4.10 Ballycasey/Fingal bay
4.50 Chocca wocca/Bantam
5.30 Doctor Harper/Perfect candidate/Silvergrove

Most of mine either have won at Cheltenham or been placed there, i think it's important most of the time for the horse to have experience of the track, as there's no other track like it. Good luck!.

Good picks Sammy especially Rolling Maul. I've backed him E/W at 66/1 which is a huge price for a horse with his profile. Good jockey claiming 5lb too.

Thistlecrack has to be the bet of the week. He looks bombproof and should be long odds on. If Mullins trained him he would be.
Currently 2.32 on Betfair. I'm tempted to really lump on, but will probably chicken out.😣

As it is St. Patrick's Day, I doubt many will be able to see the horses never mind know who won.  Well The blessed ones amongst us would not any way.. I not had a drink in over five years. I dearly miss my St Patrick's Day but not the day after (if there ever was one)

We were only yards from the mk dons they were very drunk, one fell over and was screaming that he'd broke his leg, they couldn't get him up

Last day three winners yesterday, though you wouldn't have got rich on the prices, and i think i had one placed and two just missed out on a place.

1.30 Zubayr
2.10 Superb story
2.50 Barters hill(Next best)
3.30 Don Poli(NAP)
4.10 On the fringe
4.40 Qualado
5.30 Rock the world

Outsiders
1.30 Apple's jade/Footpad
2.10 Wait for me/Modus
2.50 Long dog/Shantou village(all the three i have selected in this race are very close for me, i just go for Barters hill)
3.30 Don Cossack/Modus
4.10 It came to pass/Chapoturgeon**(It came to pass is the value bet in this race, half the age of on the fringe, has already beat on the fringe heavily, though i just about pick on the fringe, a saver on this one might be worth doing!)
4.50 Squouateur/Montdragon
5.30 Sizing codelco/Bold Henry

Good luck!.
