Positives
« on March 28, 2016, 05:43:01 pm by Dare to dream! »
- The players showed passion/fight
- We were the better team and should have won the game
-McCsheffrey looks a good player
-Blackpool were awful and can't see them getting out of it anytime soon
-IT'S NOT OVER YET

We need to keep our heads up and believe we can still get out of it

Of course it's not but many are seeking the manager's head as soon as they are beginning to show bottle. Hound him out now and it will be all over . No new manager can resolve this conundrum in time ; from potential P/Off contenders to Relegation fodder in 10 weeks ? It seemed to collapse post Stoke what happened then I wonder ?

On your first point, we didn't show enough

But basically I agree with you.

We as fans can do our bit, no matter how pissed off we are, remember the Southend fans in that play off semi? Thats what we should aspire to, we're all but relegated, buts lets not get hostile, it does no good at all

Well I thought I was a dreamer.
Can't see it and I am always looking for the positives.
It will take something very special now. 3 wins 3 draws in seven games. Even I can't see that now as we had to get 4 points from the last 2 games.

Battered against Colchester and can't score against a poor Blackpool team. Not many positives at all...

No positives at all for me. A defender was motm (deservedly as well). It didn't really matter how many crosses we put over or balls into the box we don't have any strikers.
All Williams does is complain and jump up and down in frustration. He has to be the most frustrating player on our books.
We all knew what was going to happen. We played a shite team and as usual conceded near the end of the game.

Looking at table it's definitely not over yet, I think personally, I'd get rid of Fergy now and hand the part time role to copps, just go for it lads nothing to lose and maybe copps would get the morale in the camp again. My opinion

must have been at a different game today. We never looked like scoring. So if you dont score you will lose games.

Hitting the underside of the crossbar not look like scoring doesn't it?

No positives from the two games I have seen this weekend we have lost to two piss poor teams so just shows the level we are performing at. We have got no chance of staying up.

That was our only real chance of the game, their goalie never had a save to make......for a must win game that is shocking

I've not been to Rovers for a while, but went today as I still have 3 tickets left in my multi-game ticket book and home games are running out fast!

The only positive for me today was that there was real effort from the players.  It was just a lack of quality and that bit of luck when it came to the run of the ball in the box and the shot from Rowe which looked as though it was going in and may have changed the course of the game.

That said, Blackpool could and should have been out of sight in the first half and it was only excellent goalkeeping which prevented a 3-0 half time deficit.

There was one other positive though.  The guy next to us won the Pukka Pie draw, so Donny Dog brought a box of pies which were kindly shared out amongst grateful supporters close by!

I've never seen so many terrible first touches. Main culprits Williams and Calder.

Williams get him sold this summer if anyone will buy him.

I thought williams was terrible today all he did was complain and stand with his arm in the air begging for non existant fouls instead of getting stuck into them.  Calder was almost as bad with his attempts at showboating all leading to their fullback taking the ball off him.  Bit of grit required all round.

I'm not having 'effort' from the players as a positive.

It doesn't count, It should be a given.

We are playing like a relegated side. Have been for months, that's the concerning thing for me. There's a bit of effort but there wasn't any fight that I could see today. The players have given up a long time ago.

We didn't create much, we got in good positions but the final ball was shit, Williams effort in the first half wasn't bad, we should've had a penalty for handball, and the scramble when someone should've just smashed it instead of dilly daddling about
Saying that they had the better chances on the break

Not on target, might as well have been over the roof. The truth is we are not creating the chances for our forwards

Positives...

There are seven games left and it's only a five-point gap (Oldham and Fleetwood still have to play each other) to a safe position. It can still be turned around.

I won't mention the negatives as the title of this thread did say 'positives'.

When we had 14 games left i kept reading that we only needed 12-13 points to escape the drop.
How many do we now need with just 7 to play?

Folk are saying we need 50 points to stay up.

We currently have 37 points.

We need another 13 points.

We have taken 3 points from the last 14 games.

At this rate we would need to play another 55 games to get the required points total.

We aren't going to stay up.
