We may have an awful football team, but we've apparently got bloody good beer.

Southport second. That's if they've got any beer left after the Rovers weekenders visit.

.... and Chesterfield third ... just in time!

Seriously though it would be easy to carry out this research and completely turn the data on its head and here is why.

Donny and area have some very very diligent Pub / Club owners and Staff

Corner Pin ... Little Plough ... Doncaster Brewery .... Imperial Club (Mex) and JH at Rose and Crown to name but 5

I could research them weeks months if not years and never be served a "bad" Pint by which I mean one that is not at the standard the Brewer expected rather than one that was not to my taste. These establishments and their Staff KNOW their Beer and would know / see by experience when a Beer was almost "off" and change it

However there are many other Pubs including national "chains" where the Beer is constantly changing and the Staff are (let me say) less experienced. They are usually but not always young and are trained to pull the Pint and serve it but after that they do not recognise the many types of Beer available and why would they ... I know nowt about Techie stuff .... and so they are much more liablke to dish you up a cloudy or smelly (or both) Pint without even checking it

So let us rejoice we have some bloody good Local innkeepers and the researchers must have picked them or one of the many many others but I dare say I could go to Reading and after a while never be served a bad Pint either
