If Walsall win tonight it may mean that Burton have something to play for on the final day...

I don't honestly know what is better for us - Shrewsbury going out of the relegation battle or Burton needing to beat us!

Bit of a catch 22. If Shrewsbury lose, it's another team we can possibly catch. If Walsall win, it means Burton are more likely to have to get a win on the final day.

On the other hand, they'd also be under pressure not to bottle promotion, which could well get to them - that said, the pressure of trying to survive could get to us...

I want a draw so Shrews over take Chezzie. Had a bottle on Chezzie for relegation at 40! Like to see them move down a place.

I'll go with that.  Pressure will be on our lot against Burton if we're still in with a chance.  Pressure on Burton would be better for us than them in party mood.

We can still catch Shrews if they draw. We need Bury to turn up on Saturday, they've been poor for a while now, if they beat Chez and we lick Crewe it's game on. Bradford are flying at the minute and they will beat Chezzy on the last day.

We need to put a few past Crewe Saturday and give us that edge on the GD.

it was a terrible way to talk about your players

I think I would rather Shrewsbury lose as that means there is another team we can catch.

Burton having something to play for means they can't afford not to try to win?  Either way, WE still need to win our games...

Some of the bottom sides will win games, can't all lose every game. I'd rather it was Shrews that won and left the losing to Blackpool and Chesterfield!

At least those teams are not playing each other, and it is not that unusual to lose 2 on the bounce.

I'd rather we had as many chances as possible.

Walsall beat Shrewsbury. Fleetwood draw against Walsall and Burton beat Gillingham meaning Burton were up before the last game and we have a five horse race.

The more teams in the shit the better we don't want Shrewsbury picking anything up tonight.

I see all the experts on the run in are coming out. Just drag as many of the bas**rds into the fight as we can and see where it leaves. Football doesn't run on any logic I know of.

Simple we win both games the 4 teams above get no more than
a draw we will overtake all of them
2 on GD
2 on PTS
Blackpool could even win one.

Looking at the goal difference, and IF we win both our games, then we can "afford" for both Chesterfield and Shrewsbury to draw one game each.

We can do nowt until Saturday though!

On balance a defeat for Shrewsbury can't do any harm to our cause.

Probably best to see where we are on Saturday evening, and if we've won, on Monday.

On an optimistic note, the Burton game on the final day has the look of last season's Colchester v Preston to me. We know what happened next...
