Yep. Just popped up on my Facebook memories thing. Seems a lifetime ago.

Got a feeling this saturday could be just as big a day but in a different way.

My blood pressure that day!
We made the pub stay open until the Football league show had been on. Brilliant day.

It's just popped up on my Facebooks memories thingy!
I was running round Revolution Square in Havana like a mad thing after Mr Frost phoned me up to tell me what happened. At £1.50 a minute!!

Quick question - why do people add "thingy" when they've just described perfectly what they were intending to? A mate messaged me yesterday and said "download this from the app store thingy". It is literally a waste of time writing the extra word. Mind you, here I am, wasting my own time writing about my grievances against it, so hardly one to talk!

Back on topic, I was on safari at the time and got back to our wifi base at what must have been about 4.48 - on the BBC text the last thing I read was "1-1. Penalty to Brentford". I didn't even bother looking again until about 4 hours later when I saw a flood of messages, couldn't believe I'd missed the drama!

Crikey, almost the same experience as me. I wasn't on safari but I was in Kenya somewhere near the equator and I managed to listen to most of the match via my mobile dongle thingy. Gets to the penalty and suddenly cuts out! Last I heard was 'Brentford have a penalty'. I didn't know at that point whether I really wanted the internet connection back or not. In any case, it came back about 25 minutes later to the slow realisation that we'd actually won. A few tuskers were drunk that day and crazy white guy was jumping about some African village.

Stop using the 'thingy' word. It's a waste of time! 😄😂😱

I was in Portland Oregon, massive pot of strong coffee, Rovers shirt on, with my (then) 2 1/2 year old son, listening in to Rovers Player. Utter madness ensued.

Was in hotel room in Vegas with six hookers.

Actually, the game was three years ago, not two.

Scrub that.

If the BBC thingy said 1-1 then they had got it wrong hadn't they.

My circumstance that day was sat in the conservatory at home listening to final score and biting my nails.
The wife was elsewhere in the house and when Brentford got the pen I let rip with the usual expletives.
As usual she ignored me but then when Trotta hit the bar I was whooping and screaming.
She came in to ask what was happening but then I told her to shut up when I realised Billy had broken away with the ball.
When Copps tapped home the goal she even joined in the celebration.
What a great couple of minutes that was.
