Bit of a change in fortune
« on May 29, 2016, 09:37:42 pm by Tiddysdad »
I challenged you all to a daft 50p bet at begining of the season on who you thought would go down.

My bet was on BARNSLEY going down.
Back on december 14th BET365 offered me over 3 times my bet £1.67 - they must have been looking odds on to go down.
(i cashed out at this and it went to muscular dystrophy by the way)

At that point we had just been on a great run. Yet we've gone down and they've gone up. What a change.

Can anyone tell me how this happened.

I don't know about the Barnsley side of things but a big part of the reason we went down was due to our manager refusing to change from a 3-5-2 when we clearly didn't have the players suited to that formation.
He also persisted with inexperienced kids when that also wasn't working.
Had Rowe and McSheffrey been brought in a few games earlier I believe we would have stayed up.
There has also been rumours of dressing room unrest.

Injuries to some key players didn't help. The loan signings Anderson, Mattioni and Grant were huge blows to the side when they got injured. No excuse though for not winning for four months. A couple of wins in that time and we would still be in League One.
