As always when it comes to betting on Rovers I wait until I see what BST does.

Then do the opposite.

I lost both legs and both arms betting on BST's predictions. Then I lost my torso when I bet on his suggestion that we'd go up last season.

I've decided to quit while I'm a head.

5 to bloody 1 and I for one was "counting" my money. I did not think I had much of a chance of 150/1 for Promo but hey The Tykes made it and were worse off at that stage than we were

I am a mug punter for sure and in this Saturdays Greyhound Derby Final I cant get past Jaytee Jet (favourite) as a) my initials are JT and b) My best mate - my dog - is named Jet !

However I then saw that Trap 1 is called something like Lenson Rocky and of course Rocky was my first best mate - my Dog so already that is a reverse Forecast ! Hopefully I can find no more tenuous links and so steer clear of all the others !

I should have bet each way on Rovers last season. I bet on them going up - but they went the other way.

Our odds don't seem to have changed with the news of any of our signings. Suggests to me the bookies aren't that clued up about what is going on and/or they make money on these markets  anyway.

We're 2/1 for promotion with Skybet. Cheltenham are 6/1, longer odds than Crewe which is pretty ludicrous.

Just because we have made 4 signings doesn't mean we should shorten up.

It will change when Rovers fans start putting money on it. Who's honest enough to admit they are thinking about it? I am, but I remember last season when I had much the same feelings. What's that saying about not being fooled twice?

I've only ever backed rovers in one season! I had a weekly £5 treble on man utd (prem) wigan (lg 2 at the time - possibly lg 1) and rovers (final conference year) to win each week! utd won prem, wigan blitzed their league and rovers went up - I did pretty well that season! Lol! Would never do it again tho! Enjoyed my winnings that year and am clever enough to know lightning rarely strikes good fortune twice! Haha!

Maybe the bookies expert, isn't impressed with who we have signed. The manager hasn't just chased big name signings, some thought seems to be going into it, namely just look through who played for accrington last season and sign them, the next one Piero Mingoia...

I backed us at 10/1 yesterday and i think there was only a couple of the bigger firms offering these odds, some bookies odds were as low as 6/1. I think the bookies wait before lowering odds until they see were the money is being gambled and dont worry to much about who we sign to a point.
