There was much talk and lobbying to build the National Stadium near the NEC Birmingham before it was decided to redevelop Wembley. Easier and fairer access to all. As said above, we already have other stadiums that can stage internationals albeit Yorkshire is lacking anything like Old Trafford, St James'I really don't want to rekindle the N v S stuff but unless money is spent north of Watford Gap and unless there is a push for this sort of facility to be built we will forever pay homage to London. London is a great city, love it, but there is a need for expansion of services and facilities up this way, and if you don't ask you will not get.
