There may be some better teamwork/build up goals scored, but that finish was special!

Great technique and finish - it probably will win goal of the tournament.

It completely hides the fact that this game has been woeful for large parts.

Not what you'd expect when the heavyweights meet in the knockout rounds.

Oh for f**k's sake man!!!  I thought it was a decent game..

This is a tournament and not just 4 big teams in 2 semis and a final!  This thread was supposed to be about the goal, not about the quality of the competition - again!

Rigo obviously won't be happy until they've reverted to the tournament format they used in 1976.

Great goal. As for the game, the Swiss were the better team in terms of showing more intent on actually trying to win the game.

I've not mentioned the quality of the competition in this thread.

What I've said is that Poland vs Switzerland was a poor game for large parts and that it was the wet fart game of the Last 16 - one which is hardly likely to pull people to the edge of their seats.

But the goal was of a very, very high quality.

Wales v N Ireland was a game with much less quality than Swiss v Poles.

Portugal vs Croatia was poor fare too, give me Hungary vs Portugal, Italy vs Ireland over that game any day!

Shame Shaqiri's goal effectively counted for nowt!

Now I don't want to appear transphobic or prejudiced against those born in the wrong body, but she really should have stayed as a woman.

If I as an overweight Yorkshireman had been born with a body like this, all I would want in life is a mirror.

This goal, was a 'thing of beauty', a backward step just to get in line with it, the way he arched his body and legs to conform to what was needed in technique, and finally the precision, as near to unstoppable and perfection, as you will ever see!.
