Premier League referee Neil Swarbrick will be the man in charge of the Checkatrade Trophy clash between Mansfield Town and Doncaster Rovers.

The Lancashire official has taken charge of two games so far this season showing six yellow cards and no reds.

Last season he took charge of 35 games showing 98 yellow cards and 7 reds.

Swarbrick last took charge of a game involving Mansfield in December 2008 when they won 2-1 at Darlington.

His last game in charge of Doncaster was in March when they lost 2-1 at Bradford City.

Referee: Neil Swarbrick (Lancashire)
Assistants: Darren Cann & Derek Eaton
Fourth official: Simon Bennett

Although I can't say I'm a huge fan of Mr Swarbrick (having once seen him allow Warnock to referee a game from the technical area) it would have surely made more sense to have sent him to Donny on Saturday. Young Mr Salisbury might have been a better choice for tonight's game.
