Too early to get sleighed
« on November 07, 2016, 10:25:09 pm by Bentley Bullet »
Who'll be the first to report a sighting of a prematurely Christmas decorated house? I Have now't to report on in Bentley yet, but there will probably be some cases of it in the less posh areas.

Us Bentley folk have one rule.................

There is one about 400 yards from us in Bradford. Unless it's an Asian wedding as according to the wife there are the blue flashing lights running all up the side.

idler, could it be with Diwali being last week?
On a different note. I still find i weird out here after 4 years.  Going to the malls in  t shirt shorts and flipflops, and there all decorated up for Christmas.

I saw a Tesco christmas advert last night, in which the characters start by saying it is too soon "can still smell bonfire on my clothes"

Sure there's some lights outside a shop in Kingsgate already. My dad was in a shop the other day too when they had lights out already.

I've heard there are lots of extra lights going up in Barnsley this year. So much so that they've requested extra extension cables from DMBC. The reasons not for Christmas though, they're for the new year's Millennium celebrations.

Never gave that a thought BR you could be right.
We went to Dubai a couple of times in November when the daughter lived out there. It did seem funny seeing the Christmas decorations on sale while in shorts and sandals. I wouldn't like to be out there at Christmas though.

The lights are on in Nottingham.
A chap near me has had his decorations up since September having only taken them down in May, he does this every year!

Yesterday there were folks complaining about the John Lewis Christmas Ad http://www.johnlewis.com/christmas-advert?s_kwcid=1dx43700015252676640&tmad=c&tmcampid=1&gclid=CJre6ISuoNACFaQV0wod8qsORQ&gclsrc=aw.ds

saying it spoils the idea for kids of Father Christmas delivering presents.  All parents know that he will have delivered the trampoline BEFORE the parents assembled it..!!

Of course he did. You don't get as fat as him assembling the f**king things too.
