Hopefully there you go. I'd say he was honest and fair as normal.

I go along with Fergy's view on the game.

We won the first half and they won the second.

I couldn't see if anyone was at fault for their goals but I would single out Marosi for the save he made in the first half, FANTASTIC. He dived to his right and just managed to stop the ball crossing the goal line.

For me that was the match winner that's how much I rated the save.

It will be interesting to check out their goals because the back 4 were leaking goals today and that is worrying.

Butler from what I could see was the MOTM. What I found funny was Copps got another sky high ball to control but he never did it this time.

In fairness he usually seems to take them out of the air when stood relatively still as opposed to trying to beat an opponent to a ball moving away from him on the run.

Its amazing just how high Copps can jump for the ball! He out jumped even the tallest of their defenders to head the ball. Copps made a point of thanking our supporters for their support today when he went off, respect.

Great result, wasn't there so can't comment on the game but makes me wonder are we missing a Brian Stock type player that can help us look after the ball better when in front & frustrate the opposition rather than let them come onto us, or is it poor tactics when going 2 or 3 ahead thinking the game is over. All the same we are top of the league & still improving, all good stuff.

Houghton normally does that job extremely well.

Keegan when he came on was shocking. Bet Fergie thought he'd see the game out or something. They were getting way too much space in midfield in the 2nd half.

Keegan has no game time yet.. He is good enough for this league, but needs match time to get up to speed..

Les,
Quite simply they had nothing to lose in the second half and threw caution to the wind. They took control of the midfield hence Fergy brought on Kegan in an attempt to regain it but it did little to change things. We have to manage games better but there again the "Kevin Keegan" approach to football certainly keeps supporters on their toes, just as long as we score more than the opposition.

Might work in this league, but we would be found out in L1.

There aint no long term future for Keegan in this team unfortunately. Like the bloke I do but Houghton is many classes above.

Truth of today's game is even when it was squeaky bum time in the 2nd stanza Marquis had 2 or 3 one-on-one chances and fluffed his lines very badly.

Could have been 6-3 that game. Love Fergie, hate the wet lemons.

Just one more point about this game I was very disappointed with Marquis. He could have had a hat trick today and the yellow card was absolutely stupid! For those not there today he was given offside and his reaction to that was not only to kick the ball away but to put it out of the stadium. The Ref who had a good game,  also booked one of their players for doing the same thing. Winding players up is part of the game but to get a card for kicking the ball away is stupid just as bad as taking your shirt off. Not one of his best days.

He talks sense he demands certain standards and knows there are still a few minor problems in our set up. The players sound as though he doesn't need to tell them that it could have been better.
It shows how good we started that we were cruising three goals up against a side who only lost narrowly to Plymouth and Carlisle. I would like to think though he hasn't brought him in for that job, that he would take advantage of Russ Wilcox's experience in organising a defence.
Get him working with them. He has managed a few sides and they were mostly good defensively, plus his playing experience. He is picking the right back four all are the best at the club in their position.

Eventually i'd like to see Joe Wright replace Butler but at the minute he doesn't have the presence or experience that Butler has so rightly he isn't starting.
If we defend like that against Plymouth we will be in trouble. On the other side if we attack like that they will be in trouble. Especially away from home i think our midfield is great on the ball but not as good at getting it back. Sacrifice a forward thinking midfielder in certain games and it might just eradicate the problem. The thing is who do you drop out of that midfield?, it's a tough one.
From the tough season we've just come out of doing so well is great.

The pleasing thing for me was hearing that the players were 'dissapointed' in the dressing room after the game. Looking at the goals we conceded in the second half, they stand need to be as well. 3-0 up at half time and most other sides would see the game out, but we don't seem to have that in us, presently. Personally, I don't think it's simply the defence that is the problem, rather the midfield just switch off. Also, I think if Marosi does have a problem it is one of communication with his fellow defenders. Capable of making great saves but equally adept at letting soft ones in as well.

Hopefully, constructive criticisms and not (as so often perceived by some on here) moaning. Scoring 4 away from home against a side who had beaten Pompey the previous week is no mean feat, and that 3rd goal was a thing of beauty. That is the positive to take from the match. If we get out of the habit of conceding sloppy goals, we'll take some stopping.
