Name a team outside the pack ....
« on December 03, 2016, 07:43:21 pm by Lincoln Rover »
Just a quick question to all out there.
IF there was to be a team(s) outside the promotion/ play offs in L2, who you expect to join the party, then who do you think it could be?
I'll start..... Cambridge and to a lesser extent Yeovil.
yep I do accept that yeovil are presently in the play offs.

Grimsby, if they can keep hold of Bogle.

Fergie said Cambridge after Rovers played them Gaz Laz ( is he fergies better looking brother and getting info ?) agrees with him

I expected Hartlepool to be in the top 10 - especially if a certain tv personality threw a bit of money in  -- they keep on getting credit for the way they play

 - but orient are the phoenix team for me so long as the owner can "shutta de mouth" and let the manager (to the end of the season) get on with it.   their foreign signings looked good on paper -  Stevenage grinders on the fringes ?

it's not a game of two halves but of "musical chairs" who's in the chair when the music stops

The team that's just gone into the playoffs today is Yeovil one to watch

It's a mixed bag outside the top five and I suspect it'll probably stay that way - it'll make for a superb final day of the season though!

I saw Wycombe Wanderers today and they were nothing spectacular other than being my sort of football team. Just organised and they took chances, some of which were handed to them on a plate, against a Chesterfield side that couldn't do anything well and spent the last 15 minutes defending a 5-0 defeat.

I don't think you'll be crossing swords with Chesterfield next season anyway.

Hats off to Wycombe for their recent run. At half time in our game against them I said to my dad they were the worse side I had seen us play..ever. Probably some way short of the truth, they were markedly better when Big Bayo came on second half and went away with a point. However, if they are best of the rest, then this admittedly poor league is worse than I thought.

Grimsby for me. Just got their inconsistency to sort out.

It's not a poor league!  It is the 4th division..

At this time of the season, any club from Newport up could put a run together.. form and confidence can trump individual talent..

I put Cambridge up as the dangers a few weeks ago. Them Carlisle and Pompey the only decent sides in this division.
