Am I right in saying that our current run of scoring in 19 successive League games from the start of the season is our best since 1946-47? I think that was 21.

Absolutely correct TRB. We have just beaten the previous second best of 18 set in 1956-57 - the year Alick was scoring for fun before breaking his leg.

You may have noticed the theme of my last Fanzine article was goal scoring records nearly always being set in a season going from a year ending in 6 to a year ending in 7.  This is yet another example.

The EFL do have a dubious goals panel so I will see if they adjudicate on it.

BTW after checking a number of different sources I've decided that the second goal in the Rovers v Wigan game in 2013-14 goes to Copps, not Richie Wellens. It means Copps is on 49 League goals, not including his three in the play offs.

Over two seasons it is 30-odd games but I know Dutch will have the right answer.

Longest ever scoring sequence for Rovers is 27 in the 1934-35 season. There was actually an abandoned match partially played during this run, and we scored in that as well, but 27 is the official record.

The longest scoring run I can find by any Football League club is 55 by Arsenal starting from 19 May 2001. However this only covers teams in the Football League last season - the Sky Annual gives that record for each league club. Any longer run would have to be by some former FL club and I don't have the means to check that.

BTW after checking a number of different sources I've decided that the second goal in the Rovers v Wigan game in 2013-14 goes to Copps, not Richie Wellens. It means Copps is on 49 League goals, not including his three in the play offs.

I would be very happy if Copps is credited with that. It would put him on 56 goals total (all competitions) for the club and in 11th place on the club all time list. However there is a clutch of players just above him and another 6 would put him up to 6th behind only Keetley (186), Jeffrey(139), Tindill (133) Kitchen (105) and O'Callaghan (77). Tough ask this season, but possible if he gets another season.

Knew I could count on you, thanks a lot! Remarkable to think we aren't too far off that all-time record. 55 games seems astonishing but then that was some team Arsenal had in the early 2000's.

Another one for you Dutch, because I know you probably have the answer at your fingertips.

In 1946-47 we scored in every away League game- a total of 21 games. The only two games we failed to score in were two goalless draws, both at home. Have we ever equalled this feat? We are still on course to do so this season, of course.

I can confirm that in all our league and conference seasons, 1946-47 is the only season where:

- we scored in every away match

- in every match, home or away, either we scored a goal or gained a point

Addition to above: Our next best seasons for fewest league games where we did not score are 1934-35 and 1983-84 (5 times) and 1956-57 and 1965-66 (6 times)
