Lost 1-0. Niggly, scrappy and a few flare-ups. Worryingly, Alfie May limped off at half time and didn't re-appear for second half.

Mitchell Lund played the full game, although Fergie still wants to send him out on loan. Joey McCormick played part of the game. His first outing since he dislocated his shoulder in the Newcastle friendly.

I take it Hutchinson was playing for Owls then. Being sent off as many times as he has is no coincidence.

A young Doncaster side played very well against a side that cost quite a few bob in the transfer market, and overall gave as good as they got.
Wright,Lund,Middleton ,and Keegan all played very well,Etheridge keeping us in the game with some good saves especially in the second half.
Alfie took a knock and went off straight away presumably as a precaution, and the team in general were always trying to play football, but were overpowered up front by a more experienced and bigger defence.
Cedric played well at left back getting forward, and overall a good performance in a not so friendly friendly by the team as a whole, and pleasing with the younger players not being bullied.
The funny incident was when the very large Wednesday centre forward came chest to face with Middleton, after Harry brought him down,he was 8inches bigger, well done Harry.

I'm only going by what the guy I went with said, and he works for Wednesday and never misses a game home or away. Don't shoot the messenger.

No harm meant mate, just pointing out Lund played 90mins,Etheridge played very well apart for the one mistake, and although put under pressure with crosses from set pieces, dealt with everything and made two excellent saves when one on one.
He needs confidence and games, there is a good goalkeeper there given a chance.
Marco was stood on the side watching with a group of first teamers, which I took as a good sign on his recovery.

No worries mate, I agree about Etheridge. He had a good game apart from the one error and he needs the game time. I thought it showed a good team bonding how the rest of the team stayed and watched. There seems a real togetherness in the squad.
