Tommy Rowe
« on April 19, 2017, 09:14:27 pm by Terrier »
Evening Donny fans, congratulations on getting promoted. Hearing some murmurs up here that we (Huddersfield) might try and sign Rowe if we don't go up this year. Was just wondering if you could tell me anything about him, is he good, is he a consistent player, that kind of thing.
Cheers for any help, hope you go on to win the title

Class player for us and far too good for league 2 and will be up there as one of the best midfielders in league 1 next season, but not sure he's quite good enough for a team aiming for the premier league.

Nothing to tell, he has been pants all season for us, lucky to get a shirt.
Not seen anything in him to suggest he may make a decent player.
Probably only good enough for a shite team, maybe Leeds.

He's not bad considering he's only got one leg and chronic fatigue syndrome.
Oh and ricketts in the other leg.

Why pay £3m for him now when you could have got him for free last year?

Because no club has ever signed a player from another club for more than they were signed for previously...

Great for us but a massive leap to premier standard.
I think he needs to stay so that we can hone him up for you.
He would be up against far better players but also have better players supporting him. A bit too soon for him I think.

Too good for us, not good enough for you, not young enough for you to develop, leave him with us.

I can tell you one thing about Tommy Rowe - he isn't signing for Huddersfield this summer.

Terrier, which of your players would you give in exchange plus a couple of million?

No!!! Don't trust 'em whatever you do!! Last time we did a deal with 'em we ended up with Terry Austin and they got Daryl Pugh!!!

He's awful mate...you'd be much better off trying (not that we'd let him go like) for Evina or even ATS both top class players that would easily fetch £1,000,000 each when fit. We'll let 'me go for £250,000 combined and a free pint for each away fan next time we're up against you. Deal?

I'd swap him for Aaron Mooy he's brilliant. But I expect he'll be going back to Man City

Pissing in wind, Tommy is here until the day comes when Fergie gets a new job.

Are you kidding? ATS and Evina are worth much more...I hope no managers are looking on here and think we are a selling club.

I think that we've more than got our revenge with Joe Wright.
We did stupidly give them Tony Leighton in the sixties though. ☹️

I thought Tony Leighton joined Barnsley from us in 1962, he was my first rovers hero.

I thought he went straight to Huddersfield. I know he played against us when they beat us 1-0 in the FA Cup 3rd round 1964-5.
Just checked on Wicki, spot on two years at Barnsley before Huddersfield. I must have wiped that from the memory banks.

Same opinion about Mooy he reminds me a lot of Gravesen the old Everton player who also rarely gave away the ball.

Rowe is a very good player,I was shocked when he dropped to league two to be honest.
I hope we keep him,and i think we will do too whilst Fergie is here atleast anyway.

He will stay while ever fergie is here. When players find a manager they like or gets them playing the best they tend to either follow them
