You'll have to help me out here because I'm pretty confused - in your apology you've said it was a heat of the moment reaction because you were hurting, yet now it was all a joke and those that were offended (I would wager about 90% of this board, myself included) need a sense of humour transplant? Doesn't seem to be the most sincere apology to me. Or was that tongue in cheek too?

Rob. You say you have not been on site for a while, a lot of things have been said since the end of the season and you are just selecting one. Threats to commit damage etc. I know The Vicar well and he is not in any way  possibly connected to anyone who would think such actions were justified, he certainly is not even thoughtful enough to put it through. But are you a moderator because you are issuing a threat of banning him. I repeat there have been far more nastier things stated, and as for you picking on us Catholics, perhaps you will now apologise.

 I do feel there seems, by some, to be a more robust expression of disgust at the irrational comments of a clearly upset poster than of the bas**rds who caused his outrage.

Can we please accept his apology and forgive and forget his remarks, which were expressed at a time of emotional upset, lest we forget the real evil of these events.

I personally am more than happy to see and accept your apology Vicar, obviously the whole episode struck a nerve with me and led to some unsavoury discussions over the last few days. Time to draw a line under all this and get back to what matters on the VSC: the football!
