This chap was a shock to society back in the late 1970s when he burst onto the scene via the Sex Pistols.

Any one recall when anarchy in the U.K. Was shown live on our tvs and it felt like johnny rotten was comming through your tv screens right into your front room as he stared the tv camera down.

He was way beyond his time with his god save the queen song back then .even thou Iam behind the queen 100% who he sang about then has turned out today with far too many from today's society against our queen.

He was put on the uks terror list because he sang a song,and was kept on it by MI5 as they blocked him ever leaving the country for years.

The issue with John lydon is that most people will associate him with johnny rotten and the Sex Pistols and the so called chaos that caused the establishment back in a short period from 1977 to 1978 .

All because He had green hair  he was immigrant Irish  rotten teeth and stinks with a couple of songs thrown in > god save the queen 1977 and anarchy in the U.K.

The press slaughtered him for this and turned 95% of the country against him .even the bbc gagged him and refused to give him any airtime after johnny rotten spilled to beans on jimmy savile via a bbc radio interview in 1977.

After his illness when he was very very young and been in a coma for 4 months and when he came out he could not recall a single thing about himself or his last 8 years .

He could not even recall who is mum and dad was after been in hospital for sometime and when he was released from NHS care back into his parents care .lydon states that he had to trust the two people that was saying what they was as in mum and dad.

Took him 4 years to fully regain his full memory back which has a massive effect on his stance today as he will never deal or tolerate anybody that tells lies .

He claims his music is honest and that he never tells a lie to anyone as it would go against what brought him back to a full recovery when much younger.

I allways thought he was a toxic person after the sex  Pistols and what I picked up from the media back then ,but in the last 10 years or so I have been keeping a close track on him whenever he has been interviewed and you get a complete different picture from his side of the fence.

One thing that I find about him is that both him and his wife Nora are still a couple after 35 years  as they belive in each other etc etc,in today's climate of bed hopping so called stars this is old fashioned values to marriage that no longer lasts.

I had a couple of beers with the Sex Pistols while working at the Outlook club in Donny in 1977, I found Lydon a decent bloke and got the impression he was just having a laugh and taking the piss of the media, You George or Susan or Mick or whatever you call yourself,  you are a w**ker.. End of..

John Lydon has caused a stir by claiming that he backed the move to leave the EU and wants Britain to have a "truly brilliant" Brexit.

The former Sex Pistols frontman was speaking to ITV News when he stated: "The working class have voted and I support them. Let it be a nice exit. A truly brilliant British exit."

Lydon has certainly changed his tune from last year.

He told the Metro in 2016 that to leave the European Union would be "insane and suicidal".

"We're never going to go back to that romantic delusion of Victorian isolation, it isn't going to happen," he said. "There'll be no industry, there'll be no trade, there'll be nothing - a slow, dismal, collapse. It's ludicrous.

"It's an act of cowardice really, it's running away from issues instead of solving them."

Instead of google searching any negative on lydon look for the possitives.

If you don't have any interest in music it will be a tall ask ,but he did change the way music went and many artist today would not have been here today if not for his input with the  sex Pistols .

The Pistols played gigs all over Yorkshire in 76 and 77, they played Donny twice. The Porterhouse was a very popular gig and the Pistols played there also.

I read his autobiography a few years back - good fun and you get a very different idea of the person of Lydon and how he 'played' Jonny Rotten.

As regular readers will know I am a big prog rock fan - as was Lydon. All that 'I hate Pink Floyd' stuff was just for show - and publicity.

I dont mind the Pistols or the better PiL stuff and I am certainly a fan of Lydon himself, he is a brilliant character and just what music needed at the time. I wish there was someone like him around now.

But dont take him too seriously. There is a difference between changing your mind and playing up to what people want to hear. Is he honest when he says different things? I doubt he cares and would love this debate about it.
