New popular STAND fanzine on sale Saturday

The latest issue of popular STAND fanzine - issue 89 - will be on sale at Saturday's game.

Big thanks to everyone who bought a copy from Howard, Mike or myself yesterday. Another sold out issue in the end.

Special mention to the Gillingham fan post match, who bought a fanzine off me, after I'd been yelling fanzine and asked him if it was a faznine he wanted, and then threw it in a hedge because it wasn't a programme. His throw was so terrible I was able to grab it back and sell it again 30 seconds later. So we actually sold more than we printed this issue which is a novelty.

Anyway, if you've read yours do feel free to give us your feedback on it - it'd be much appreciated.

Years now I've been hearing stories of people buying the fanzine thinking it's a programme. At what point does the word fanzine, in someone's head, translate as programme? it's not hard...

I've actually finished it quicker as a pdf than if I'd bought a hard copy.
Plus it left an extra copy for you to sell.🙂

Liked the piece on Rovers fan, the brilliant Count Arthur Strong.
Didn't know he had been on Radio 4 will try and find those shows.
Also interesting to discover that Side Bycroft probably made nearly 600 appearances for us.

Never cease to chuckle at the articles - wit is superb - "I'm West Ham", "Do you support a big premier league club as well?" I could hear myself saying similar if goaded in the same way.....superb....

I agree with the comments above on the articles by Rob Marshall and Lazarus; very different pieces each of them, but both very well written and really interesting - and in Lazarus' case, poignant - as a result.
