ROVERS X1 X RETFORD UNITED X1 Wednesday 9th August 7.45

Rovers will be sending a team to play Retford United on Wednesday night 7.45 kick off, money will raise much needed funds for the Badgers, pity there first team in FA Cup replay at Quorn . D.R.S.C RETFORD branch will be doing a raffle for the home club, with this seasons Rovers signed shirt up for grabs. the ground is at Cannon Park on Leverton road DN22 6QF  ,  bar and hot food available.

There wasn't a programme. I left just before the end and the score was 7-1 Rovers. I may have lost count though and it could have been 8.

finished 8- 1  good work out for both teams, Retford team was a develpoment side as the first team were playing Quorn  in the FA Cup replay.
team were  a credit to Rovers, played in good spirit
crowd was 129  mainly Rovers fans and famalies of players
we did the raffle for Retford, for a signed Rovers shirt and raised £101 for Retford united funds

  it's a shame that neither team could put out much of a first team for this due to the timings...Really hope Rovers pencil Retford United in for a proper pre season game next year...Then the badgers can make a decent bit of coin to help them....
