Mayweather vs McGregor

Anyone know what time the bout is due to start,as I'm thinking of buying the Sky package for it ,but not if it's after 1.00 a.m. as I'll most likely be asleep in a drunken haze

Main event is usually around 3:30/04:00.

The event is a farce but if you want to line their pockets it's your money.

Yes Gaz I'm all over that price too,its printing money....It there is anything other than McGregor getting knocked out in under 4 rounds I will lose all faith in the noble art....This fight is a disgrace to all the pro boxers out there, it's more wwe than boxing and should never have been sanctioned but like anything else in this world...Money always talks the loudest...

I'd love to see mcgregor beat him. Mayweathers a truly odious character and mcgregor, whilst a gobshite in the media, is a better person.  He just knows how to sell himself but if you listen to him speak about where he came from and where he wants to go he'll change your mind

While I'm not keen on either of them but Mayweather has earned the right to be a bit gobby..He's been there, done it and nobody has been able to beat him....Mcgregor hasn't done jack and hasn't earned the right to be in the ring with him,his open days videos are appalling and unless he's sandbagging will get absolutely mullered based on his speed and movement on the bags...I'm not sure how you can say he's better as a person, that is beyond me though unless you know them, your just going on the media circus which hasn't done either of them or pro boxing any good at all....
The best scenario for me is that Mcgregor gets knocked spark out in 30 seconds of round 1 and then hopefully these types of comedy match ups wont be attractive again and boxing goes back to how it should be....

Mcgregor has never been locked up for battering a woman whereas mayweather has. McGregor also raises money for charities back home, whereas mayweather is only concerned with making money for himself.

Mcgregor does have a mouth on him but he knows what sells in his position and that's being a right gobshite!

Say what you like about McGregor but he's carried the promotion of this fight. As he does with the UFC since Rousey retired.

I predict a dull fight and a points Mayweather win but would love to see McGregor land a fluke and knock him out.

I can't see McGregor laying a glove on Mayweather.

In what was predicted to be a close fight, Mayweather totally outclassed a fast, tricky and powerful boxer in Manny Pacquiao so McGregor should pose no problem whatsoever.

Still undecided whether to watch it.

I've lumped on Mayweather so I probably will.

Sure mayweather pacqiao didn't start until 5am

It's a complete farce, a circus. McGregor will try and take his head off for 2/3 rounds and get picked off easily getting stopped rounds 5/6 in my opinion.

The bigger the fight the later they usually are. Gives more time for adverts and PPV buys.

This fight makes a mockery of the sport. Most fighters who have trained for years and worked their way up won't have a chance of earning what McGregor will earn in the 4 or 5 rounds he'll last.

If De La Hoya in his prime couldn't knock out Mayweather (and he gave it a really good go), then what chance does McGregor stand? (ALBEIT 10 years ago). Don't know how the bookies have the audacity of only offering McGregor at 4-1.

It has felt too staged so far and I'm hoping that stops when they get into the ring.

The sad fact in all of this is Mayweather will surpass Rocky Marciano's professional record and go 50-0 by beating someone who has never fought in a professional boxing match in his life. Statistically it would make him the greatest boxer in the history of the sport - but does a lack of sportsmanship by signing up to this farce really warrant him that title?

Because he will win.

Paddy's also pay out on Premiership teams if they take a two goal lead.

Because he's a certainty. I remember them paying out on Man U to win the title once and City ended up winning it. Aguerooooooooooooo

I get that. But what do they benefit from paying out so early?

There is a title on the line, now. The "Money Belt"! Real diamonds, emeralds, alligator leather.

This is literally pro wrestling now.

Apparently the majority of the betting is going on McGregor, probably people chancing it. If Mcgregor does land a fluke, the betting industry will be on suicide watch.

They'd have to be thin to get that on, if it's the one round his wrist 😂

Mayweather is by far the best boxer in recent times. The only way he doesn't win this is if he's aged significantly in his two years out of the ring, but I can't see that being the case.

The whole thing is entertainment and shouldn't be taken too seriously. Two big characters and a lot of fanfare. McGregor is tough and I'm sure he'll come out and have a real go but like most people I see it as easy work for Mayweather.

As I'll have been on the ale from 6:30am tomorrow for Wimbledon away, I think it's unlikely I'll get to see it. But I'm interested in how it goes. There's been enough good selling to give it a sense of the unknown, and that itself is intriguing.
