Stoke Mandeville

This lad plays like he could do with a stint in there, he's only a bairn and looks knackered after 30 mins. Think he's talented but the lad is NOT a striker.

He was lively when he came on vs Peterborough in the number 10 position.

I have to agree Mandeville is at best a midfielder he proved that today he spent most his time there retrieving the lost ball .

Williams looked good good against Peterborough too.
He is a far better option up front and should start with JM on Tuesday.

Marquis is taking piss , he isn't living up to anywhere near his ability , he just isn't taking his A game on to the pitch .

Marquis is better when he has Williams up front with him.

Marquis is starting to believe his own hype. As fergie stated without naming names

Can't agree with that, he's probably just not good enough for this division. That's what his record points to. He always seems to put the effort in to me.

Yes but did nothing he is Number 4 striker at the moment yet DF wants to try him again and again.

Don't get a lot of the hype over Mandeville.

Yes he's got some good technique, but we are not playing in a 5 a side league.

He seems to have large spells of offering absolutely nothing to me.  Still has time to improve mind.

Marquis and Williams? Looked good together last season until Andy's injury. We need some consistency!!

But he was still under contract therefore he stayed. If a club had come in and paid his wages then he could have gone, but he did not want to leave. Yet out of all the strikers his previous record shows he could score at this level. Under the budget we had we did not replace him with a recognised League 1 striker. The manager can only work with the budget he has.

Marquis got f**k all service today. He was frustrated several times. First half the gap between midfield and the forwards was laughable.

Since 1969 comments JM isn't taking his A game on the pitch.  I really hope I'm wrong but maybe he is and last season was a freak and this season he will revert back to his usual average scoring rate.   He's interesting to watch.  He's complaining a lot about his service   Is that about him or is his service not as good as last year.

If Mandeville gets so he's not looking knackered after 10 mins then he could be Coppinger with goals in him.

If you are right then we are in for a very hard season. The service is not as good as last year, because we are in a harder league.  We did not invest in a recognised league one striker  that's down to the budget and player demands now. It is what it is let's hope Marquis and others can start scoring. But let's hope the midfield players can provide the chances that are required for all our strikers can take.

Need to look for strikers that are not under contract and are free to sign all four forwards at the club are just not up to the mark

All 4 strikers are not clinical. Take JM v Peterborough, should have planted the one good chance he had all game. Now then, let's examine that sentence - one good chance all game? Really?

I think the problem is as much with the midfield as it is with the strikers. Trouble is, DF seems hell bent on picking players who simply are not doing it yet (no names mentioned Matty). Same thing applies to picking Mandeville over May - why? What had young Alfie done wrong? He seems to be the only one we have who is actually scoring.

Now, let's not even discuss the defence and our inability to recognise it needed reinforcements!

The results are reflecting where we are as a Club.

Marquis himself has had two or three opportunities to set up golden opportunities for other players this season and has overhit the pass each time so he can't grumble about poor service when he is guilty of it too.
