Here you go

A look back at the last time we faced Arsenal in the League Cup, and thoughts about what might've been if we'd won.

A slight variation on the facts in that Heffs touch didn't get to Almunia.
It was cleared away by a defender.

Looking back it is good to see that it meant such a lot to Arsenal, their celebrations tell us how relieved they were to have won.

If we're collating the "what if...?" points from the end of that game I'd also chuck in the one that jumped out at me at the time: What if McDaid hadn't been booked earlier in the game? He could comfortably have tripped Eboue on the half way line earlier in the move for a cynical yellow and we could have defended a long punt into the box. But to be honest, I've never watched the second Arsenal goal again so my memory may be hazy on that bit of the jigsaw.

What if Lewis Guy didn't take so long to be subbed off? The game would have finished earlier and Gilberto wouldn't have scored

Duly amended... wrote it from memory.

I absolutely love Ronaldo being wiped out by Leo's appeal.
A lot of people would pay good money to see that.😄

We would have been 1 game away from being in Europe!
