Excellent news. I dare say other clubs were showing interest in him. It would be good if he could get a decent loan move.

Be even better if we kept him developed him and played him. He is excellent left of a three or left of a two. Reads the game good footballing skills. On the down side is his height to play in a two but he’s still got some growing to do.

Well done Danny, but I have a feeling there will be 2 or 3 more to add. Got some good young lads at the moment.

Ditto. I'd say he's behind Baudry, Butler, Wright, Garrett, as well as Alcock and Mason as one of a back 3, and if that's the case he'd be better off out on loan somewhere rather than the occasional appearance on the bench. If Fergie sees him as being a matchday squad regular then great, but if not I'd put him on a short term loan somewhere with a recall clause.

Rightly so that he's been given a pro contract because he's definitely earned it.

Now what he needs to do is keep that boot firmly up his own backside, keep his desire to achieve things very high, and continue to force his way into the manager's thinking for games with the right attitude.

If he does that, then he could become a very good footballer.

Hopefully he will have learned from some of the previous academy lads who showed good potential and earned there first pro contracts, and then didn't manage to kick on...

Fully agree with Alan Southstand, young Amos has earned a contract with the way he has preformed of late.Of course now the hard work starts for him, others showing promise, and wouldn't be surprised if there was more to follow.

well done Danny, but keep him at Donny this season before letting him out on loan, let him settle in.
