Not sure if any new style plastic pubs have sprung up nearer the Airport but the Eagle and Child in Auckley is about one and half miles away and is pretty good.

There is a bar in the Ramada encore hotel, within walking distance to the airport ( next to the airport car park) However the beer is hotel prices and a limited range of food available.

Ramadas ok, eagle and child is a 20min walk. As is hare n tortoise.
There is a bar/restaurant at hayfield lakes 10min walk??
Claptons daughter is in bessacarr(obviously) shes ok, a normal mum on the school run quite grounded by the looks of it

Hare & Tortoise is now Miller & Carter steakhouse. Decent food but not cheap, they have a good selection of beer on tap. Again, not cheap.

The Chinese in Blaxton / Finningley used to be brilliant ! I would drive from Thorne with a Cooler / Heater bag just to get stuff from there

Yes I do as its years since I went to Finno - and my mate who hardly ever has Chinese uses it too and says its good

We are supposed to be getting a pub near the airport, I think it will be opposite side to the new development.... fingers crossed
