Vital game today, apart from a couple of spankings they don't concede many away from home & when they lose it's mainly by the odd goal. Four points from the next 2 games would leave us with a great return over Christmas & give the team bags of confidence going into the transfer window. Here's hoping for a good performance & 3 points, happy Boxing Day all.

Same could be said about us. We need points on the board back to back wins would really bring confidence and help start getting the fans in

Four points out of two would be a good amount, but I want us to be greedy and take six.

One game at a time though, lets get this lot out of the way - a win would be most welcome.

If, just if, we beat Northampton and then Rochdale to record three wins in a row, would DF and the board think we don’t need to bring new players in ?

By the sounds of it, they won't be bringing in many anyway! Then they wonder why today's crowd is disappointing.

Personally I wouldn’t say what hound has asked is negative. I am honestly thinking the same thing as what hound has just asked but I’m not thinking negative about it.

just wondering more than anything due to the last time we were in this league. Again not negativity, just wondering.

I think DF and the board will be looking at the rest of the season to consider bringing players in, more so than recent results..

WTF, why is that a negative post ?
It is a genuine question.
It would be similar circumstances to two years ago when we had a good run leading into the January window.

Think they have learnt the lesson of that season. Fergie did say in the free press that he does want to get a few in to strengthen I guess that would include bring Jordan in, if we get through to the next round of the fa cup and get a big tie that may stretch to another player.

The fact the Alex kiwomya is due back in February may shift Fergie focus

So Kiwomya being available may be an advantage, I don’t know as I have not seen him play.
Houghton being signed on a permanent deal should not be viewed as adding to the squad as he is already here.

Would people stop being negative if we won the Northampton and Rochdale games. Surely that don't need explaining.

Also I think the answer is an emphatic no

dickos, I'm sure that all managers, ours included point out mistakes in our games even when we win. They might not dwell on them after a win but to ignore them means they will probably crop up again and possibly cost us points.
Yesterday was a great result and hopefully the team can build on it meaning fewer negative posts on here. There is nothing wrong with debating our bad points if it is constructive and we learn from it. What we can do without, and I think that most on here will agree is the pointless moaning from one or two posters on a regular basis.

Dickos, I really don’t get where you’re seeing any of us being negative here? It’s literally a genuine question that I’m my eyes, should be asked.

I get we’ve won two in a row and I’m just as happy as you but I want to know how we’re going to improve the squad so we get better performances and results. It’s already been mentioned more than once that kongolo isn’t any good, so if we extend his loan and don’t strengthen then I’d be the first to worry.

I'm not suggesting you are being negative mate. Hound was having another dig at Ferguson by suggesting he would say we don't need any further signings if we beat Northampton and Rochdale. Rather than enjoying the victories

I was just saying if we beat Northampton and Rochdale would it stop people being so negative.

It seems to be getting on the tits of more than just me now

No problem mate. I’m just hoping we do continues the run now. I honestly think we’ve found the main problem to us conceding so many late goals and that’s the fitness, so getting rid of the fitness coach was a good move in my eyes.

hound you should know most on here don't like you saying any thing about any thing they don't like, BUT if they say anything it has to be taken they need a sence of humour transplant it is not a forum it's a dictator site and they dictate what you can say and do, but only if it coincides with what they say and want

Where did I say that DF would say he wouldn’t need any signings if we won the three games?
I clearly was asking the forum posters whether anyone thought that might happen or whether the board might think similarly.

You are so obsessed with trying to find negatives in my posts that you jump on most of them.

Unlike lots of our supporters in the stadium I get behind all the players and the manager on match days, you will never hear me slating them or booing them.
Those that do are the people that you should be having a pop at, not me.
