Morning everyone! This is a big, big, big game, must focus on beating Rochdale and not think about a 4th Rd glamour tie. Also we don't want a draw and have to cross t'border to the Dark Land of Lancs.

League might matter more to them, they probably haven't got the squad for a cup run and fighting a relegation battle, tough choices have to be made.

1st yellow card to Rochdale in the 1st min, shows their intent, if they keep playing like this they won't finish the game with 11 players on the pitch.

Rochdale seem to be bossing the game, we need to up our tempo and out play them.

As much as a cup run is very welcome, it isn’t a must win game..

I want us to be in the next round, but "need" is a overly strong word in my opinion.

It could make no difference to the table, it could even be a distraction that stops us sneaking into the playoffs. It could also be the difference between finishing 9th or 13th in the table.

Nothing personal, I just don't see the point

HT switch Mandy for Marquis, save him from a Red card.

The money from the next round could be the difference between 14 and 6th in being able to buy some players

Absolutely, "could" be the difference. Much more comfortable with that language than "need". All sorts of doom and stress emerges on the back of that sort of talk :)

I'm sure DF has a wish list of players he would want to bring in if we were to get a big 4th Rd tie, but first we need to get the better of  Rochdale, which isn't happening at the moment, must get to HT without conceding any more goals for DF to sort the team out.

In terms of confidence and momentum I feel that it is a MUST WIN game, particularly against a team lower in the league than us

We're only 1 down, half time hairdyer and slight reorganisation could make the difference  :scarf:

League position counts for nowt in a cup tie, they have a better recent record than us in the FA Cup, history is on their side.

Lower in the league they may be, but their performance last Friday was better than that..
We could still win and get a crap draw next round, so we can’t let this round be the make or break for our season..
