IS THE DOOR OPEN
« on January 06, 2018, 05:56:44 pm by nortikorner »
After todays game
Some should be shown the door
I'll start with the Manager  Right back playing Left back
Left back on the bench

Agree its a bit odd, but sacking DF because of it might be a bit OTT!

That’s a knee jerk reaction if ever I have heard one.
On another day we would have won comfortably. It just wasn’t meant to be.

One of those days today.

Poor first half but second half we threw everything at them and it just wouldn't go in. These things happen.

Really rate Mason, always have. But today he was dreadful.

I’m sure it was just a one off.

The most worrying thing for me is DF's post match interview. When asked if there would be any incomings he answered with a blunt no. Why are the owners not willing to back him in this window?

I know that Wilcox and Ferguson were both livid just before xmas because they'd been told they couldn't try and sign their targets.

Arguably to achieve the objective we don't need it.  I also wouldn't be surprised to see someone come in.  We should use the players we have.  We shouldn't go down and I want to see if they are good enough.  We also have Andrew, McCullough and Kiwomya not too far away.

If anyone thinks we played well today footballs probably not for you. As for not scoring it’s a season long issue not just today our strikers records are abysmal. Conceding from set pieces another one that seems to pass our master tactician by

Add to that players in bench who should have played , players in wrong position, anyone would have thought DF just trying to tell board we don’t have the players an expensive message I hope they got it .

That doesn't make any sense. If he wanted money to spend on new players winning today's game would have been the correct move, £67,000 for progressing and a possible £1m if you draw the right team in the next round.

Ones of best defences in the league, in the middle of Outstanding league form and you come out with this type of nonsense.

I've just given you some stats which oppose your statement

No, just 'fick' I think. They seriously cannot be of fully-sane mind to flick their opinions in such a binary manner. Not in touch with reality.

Not everyone is like you and thinks the old wife beater is untouchable. His deficiencies are there for all to see, in short fergie’s brand of football is BORING!!!

Who's saying he's untouchable
But trust me there's not many sane football supporters that will be asking for their manager to be sacked, after 10 points from 12

Back him to do what? Stay up? We should have enough for that I would have hoped/thought. Limited ambition admittedly but not altogether unrealistic. I suspect that DF was told that any January signings would depend on getting through to the next round of the Cup.

esdaillees left foot, the only difference today is we didn’t put the ball in the net at least twice.

In his interview he said we had 18 squad players. Was asked about Whiteman but not sure anything can be done especially if another club comes in with an offer. We’ve got what we’ve got I do  not see him having the money to bring any more in. As he said the budget was agreed.

Wanting the manager to be sacked in January after getting us to top half and third round of FA and League Cups is mentally backwards.

Doesn't look good with new signings though. We clearly need a left back (a loan would be fine as we have Andrew, Garratt and potentially the Irish kid long term) and a midfielder minimum. Not getting in Houghton is depressing too, he could be a big asset on the pitch and financially in the future but we're allowing that to go to the Summer where anyone can take him for free. It's not often I get frustrated with our board but I am currently.
