Andy Griffin?

Correct.

Next up is a player who could easily have had the nickname 'Stella'...

Phil McGuire

COYR

Correct.

Next up, a player who has gone on to have a very good career - surprisingly, as I always felt very uncomfortable with him between the sticks as he never filled me (or the defence given his clean-sheet record) with much confidence.

Carl Ikeme? Battling leukaemia at the moment, hope he's fighting it hard.

Correct.

Since his loan finished with us, he's made a considerable number of appearances for Wolves and had established himself as their first choice before his health started to dictate things for him.

I never, ever, imagined for one minute that he'd go on to make nearly 200 appearances and most of them being at Championship level.

Next up, a player who didn't perform anywhere near as well as we expected...

My first thought was Mamadou Bagayoko.

Bagayoko, from memory, mustered up a few more appearances and was absolutely brilliant one game, then absolutely useless in the next game. He was still one of the better players during that dreadful period in our history though.

Leeds away? Went 0-2 up and lost 3-2.

They scored in the 90+8th minute or something ridiculous like that. Gutting.

Is that Bruce Dyer?

Correct.

Offered a lot, looked good (on paper and in pre-season), but did barely anything in the competitive game situation.

Next up, another player with a big reputation but instead of being a postman and delivering the goods, his shooting boots got left at his former club...

Correct.

Next up, a player who once scored a hugely important goal.

Just a shame it wasn't for us!

Macheda?

Correct, or 'MACHEDAAAAAAAAAA' as Martin Tyler preferred to call him.

Next up, someone who was on our books for a fair while, but didn't make a great deal of appearances...

Craig Nelthorpe

Correct.

Possibly the most enigmatic player on this list as he had potential, proved by the fact he trained alongside the first team over the course of five different seasons, but not necessarily the right attitude to enjoy a longer career as a pro.

Anyway, here's the next face...

Steer. My phone keeps correcting his first name!

Correct.

He's still only young at 25 and I always thought he was capable of going on to better things, so maybe he'll end up following in the footsteps of Carl Ikeme and establishing himself firmly as a first choice.

Etheridge? Sure that photo is from that really nervy interview he did when he just signed. Sign of things to come. Poor lad.

Correct on the player and correct on the interview, I think.

Given our goalkeeping order at present, I'd be surprised if he manages to improve upon his tally of eight appearances.

Hopefully when he does get released, he'll pick up a good club elsewhere and be able to save his career, pun intended, before that slips through his fingers as well.

Next up...

Matt Killgallon?

Correct.

Once again, he's another one of those players in this thread who could have/should have had a better career than what he's had - certainly at a higher level anyway.

Here's the last player for a couple of hours...

Lynden Gooch?

Correct.

He made 10 appearances and wasn't bad value all things considered.

Next up, apologies straight away for the very pixelated photo, but this is another one of our qualifying stars from yesteryear...

Correct.

He made six appearances and I can't remember any of them, so he must have been effective!

Robbie Clark.

Correct.

One appearances against Accrington in the cup before he left and ended up playing in Sweden.

Here's the last one for tonight. Four legends and one very bad defender who Dave Penney was accountable for bringing to the club...

Sam Oji is playing for Hednesford Town in the Birmingham Senior Cup tonight.
